The Geoinformatics Laboratory at KMUTT (GLaK) is a center within the Computer Engineering Department at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. GLaK develops new computing capabilities for processing spatial information, focusing on solutions which are effective but also inexpensive enough for less-developed countries and easy-to-use for relatively untrained people.
GLaK is the only geoinformatics research and education center in Thailand that tackles spatial problems from a computer engineering perspective. The lab can assist application-oriented research teams or natural-resource-focused government and non-governmental agencies, by developing software and hardware capabilities to address critical problems such as deforestation, drought, floods, air and water pollution, and urban sprawl.
GLaK is actively seeking opportunities for collaboration with academic, government and industrial users of spatial data, in both research and operational project contexts.
