Course Title

Objectives of the Program

  1. To produce graduates in Health Data Science with strong knowledge and skills in data science, capable of solving medical and public health problems.
  2. To produce graduates who are proficient in communication, effective in teamwork, and committed to lifelong learning.
  3. To instill in students a sense of ethical conduct and professional responsibility.

Expected Learning Outcomes

The Health Data Science program outlines the expected learning outcomes based on the specified objectives, aligned with the vision of the two universities and the needs of various stakeholders, including public and private sector employers, current students, prospective students, faculty, and the general public:

  1. Solve Medical and Public Health Problems Using Data Science Skills

    • Explain basic scientific concepts, health science, and the characteristics of medical and public health data.
    • Apply computer science skills essential for data science.
    • Create appropriate and systematic mathematical models.
    • Develop data management systems for data analysis.
    • Use informatics tools to analyze health data.
  2. Utilize Computer Engineering Tools and Skills

    • Present and explain knowledge effectively.
    • Seek knowledge independently.
    • Solve immediate problems systematically and appropriately.
    • Work effectively in teams with individuals from diverse professional backgrounds and understand others' perspectives.
  3. Work with Ethical and Professional Conduct

    • Consider privacy policies, security, and ethical issues in data science.

Duration of Study

The program typically requires four academic years to complete on a full-time basis, with a maximum allowable duration of eight academic years.

Collaboration with Other Institutions

  • This is a joint program between the Chulabhorn College of Medical Science, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, and King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.
  • The degree certificate will be jointly issued by Chulabhorn College of Medical Science, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, and King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. Graduation ceremonies will be conducted jointly with Chulabhorn College of Medical Science, Chulabhorn Royal Academy.

Tuition Fees

  • Fixed Educational Support Fee: 56,000 Baht per semester or 112,000 Baht per academic year
  • Total Estimated Cost for the Four-Year Program: Approximately 448,000 Baht
